Our belief is that addiction and mental health issues are deeply related, regardless of which predates the other. At Golden Gate Recovery, we create and execute a personalized treatment plan to heal the whole person.
We offer longer-term, clinically robust, trauma-informed, and community-based treatment. Our clinicians are well seasoned in treating complex clients utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and life skills. This is all intertwined with intensive work with each family system. Throughout each day, the clients are engaging in many groups ranging from psycho-eduction, relapse prevention, anger management, skills building, and process groups. In addition to our calculated group schedule throughout the week are regular individual sessions to ensure a truly individualized treatment experience for each client.
It is our firm belief that the sole responsibility for each treatment program should be to treat the whole person, and this includes addressing all potential underlying mental health concerns.
Every client meets with our psychiatrist upon admission and will continue to see him as needed for medication management and regular sessions. We understand the fluctuation of behaviors and mental health at this stage of each client’s process, and it is imperative to ensure a safe and well-contained environment through a properly integrated and highly experienced medical and clinical team.
The role of the case manager is to help clients build and practice a daily routine that works for their recovery. This looks different for each person. Clients will have assistance finding employment opportunities, healthy hobbies & activities, and education advancement. Each client will have their own goals and needs. We take this into consideration and offer support while they set themselves up for a sustainable and enjoyable recovery journey.

We help our clients discover a routine that works for their recovery. This often looks like: employment/volunteer work, physical exercise, participation in outside recovery groups. All while continuing to receive clinical services and a ton of support. Our curriculum and structure are set up to ensure that men at Golden Gate learn the necessary skills to participate in their healing after graduating from an inpatient stay. We support our clients to actively engage themselves in their day-to-day recovery.
Golden Gate Recovery works collaboratively with multiple supportive living environments to offer 24/7 support and accountability. The homes are situated in the beautiful hills of Marin County, just over the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, and roughly 25 miles from downtown San Francisco and SFO airport.
These homes not only provide a safe and conducive setting to recover, but also immerse residents in a vibrant, cohesive community with stunning beaches, hiking trails, mountain biking areas, and kayaking with a small-town feel.
